Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AlertG service operated by CorbanWare. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

AlertG is an IoT alerting platform that receives data from your devices via MQTT and HTTP webhooks, evaluates alert rules, and delivers notifications through various channels. We provide the service on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
• One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems.
• Send data that contains malware, viruses, or harmful code.
• Exceed your plan's rate limits or abuse the service in a way that affects other users.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written consent.
• Use the service to send unsolicited messages or spam through notification channels.

Payment & Billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through our payment provider LemonSqueezy.
• All prices are in USD. Applicable taxes are handled by LemonSqueezy as our Merchant of Record.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

Data & Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of all data you send to AlertG. We will not sell or share your device data with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. AlertG is not intended as a safety-critical system. Do not rely on AlertG as the sole monitoring mechanism for systems where failure could result in injury, death, or significant property damage.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CorbanWare shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CorbanWare is incorporated.
